Civil Engineering Director

Position Overview
The Civil Engineering Director will lead and oversee all engineering projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role is crucial in managing project teams, budgets, and client relationships, ultimately driving the successful delivery of civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Foster strong client relationships to understand project requirements and maintain ongoing communication.
Guide and mentor engineering teams, promoting professional development and team cohesion.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential project challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of engineering work.
Oversee land development projects and coordinate with various stakeholders including environmental and geotechnical engineers.
Provide strategic guidance on infrastructure development initiatives and investments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
Experience in structural engineering and construction management.
Familiarity with land development processes and regulatory compliance.
Proven track record in budgeting and financial management for engineering projects.
Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills.
Strong client relationship management capabilities.
Experience in risk assessment and contract negotiation.
