Project Manager | Transportation

Position Overview
The Project Manager for Transportation will oversee and manage transportation-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, developing project plans, and leading a team of engineers to achieve project objectives in civil engineering and roadway design.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee transportation projects from initiation to completion.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
Lead a team of engineers and technical staff in the design and execution of transportation projects.
Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on progress and address any issues that arise.
Review and approve project designs and documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices and engineering standards.
Monitor project performance and implement improvements as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Engineer In Training (EIT) certification required, Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
8+ years of experience in managing transportation projects, including roadway design and construction.
Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles and IDOT regulations.
Familiarity with civil design software, including MicroStation and traffic modeling software such as Synchro and Highway Capacity Software.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
