Position Overview: The Superintendent is responsible for planning and overseeing the construction of projects and managing the construction process from start to finish. They must understand and interpret plans, be able to read and understand blueprints, have the ability to plan and coordinate the work of various trades, and be responsible for the safety of all personnel and the quality of the finished product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the construction of projects from start to finish.
- Read and interpret blueprints and plans.
- Ensure construction progress is in accordance with schedule.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the job site.
- Maintain strict safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure quality of workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Review work completed by subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage and maintain records of job site activities, including daily logs, blueprints, labor and material costs, and other project documentation.
- Resolve conflicts, provide solutions, and troubleshoot issues that arise on the job site.
- Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, employees, and other professionals involved in the project.
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the project.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Ground-Up & Lead Superintendent experience.
- Extensive experience in structural concrete, structural steel, high rises, commercial construction, mid-rise, hospitality, hotels, multi-family, mixed-use, educational, K-12, higher ed, municipal, public works, institutional construction.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, communication, and relationship building skills.
- Proficiency in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
