Position Overview
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental, health, and safety programs within the manufacturing facility. This role aims to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and to foster a culture of safety and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess EHS performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal and ensure compliance with waste management regulations.
  • Coordinate air permitting processes and maintain up-to-date records of emissions and compliance.
  • Provide training and support to employees on EHS practices and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, EPA, and DOT to ensure compliance with their standards.
  • Monitor and analyze EHS metrics and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
  • Experience with hazardous waste management and air permitting processes.
  • Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP and ERP systems related to EHS management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
