Electrical Design Drafter

Position Overview
The Electrical Design Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed electrical design drawings and schematics based on project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and drafting techniques to support the development of design documentation for various projects.

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed electrical design drawings and schematics using CAD software.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
Develop 3D models of electrical systems and components to visualize project designs.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes and design standards in all drawings and documentation.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Participate in project meetings and provide input on design and drafting issues.
Conduct quality checks on drawings and design documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications

No Bachelor's degree required, but verifiable technical training is necessary
Vocational school or structured technical programs preferred
5+ years of industry experience in automation or controls drafting and design
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical-must be able to use this toolset from day one
Process control and automation experience preferred
