Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Estate Planning Attorney with a minimum of two years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in advanced estate planning techniques, exceptional attention to detail, and a client-first mindset. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a thriving private client practice with high expectations for excellence and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review complex estate planning instruments, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced healthcare directives

  • Design and implement sophisticated wealth transfer and tax planning strategies, including GRATs, SLATs, IDGTs, ILITs, and charitable planning vehicles

  • Advise clients on gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax implications

  • Manage probate and trust administration for substantial estates

  • Collaborate with financial advisors, CPAs, and other professionals to ensure cohesive planning

  • Stay current on changes in tax and trust laws affecting high-net-worth individuals

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school and active license to practice in Texas

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families

  • Strong drafting and analytical skills with a deep understanding of complex trust structures and tax planning

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred, but not required
