Fire Alarm Inspector

Position Overview
The Fire Alarm Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards. The role involves evaluating system functionality, identifying issues, and ensuring that all systems operate effectively to safeguard lives and property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings.
  • Evaluate systems for compliance with local, state, and national safety codes and standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within fire alarm systems and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports for clients.
  • Coordinate with clients to schedule inspections and explain findings and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices related to fire alarm systems and safety regulations.
  • Maintain and manage inspection equipment and tools effectively.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in fire protection or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid Fire Alarm Inspector license or certification in accordance with state regulations.
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards related to fire alarm systems.
  • Experience in fire alarm inspections and system maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
