Recruiter Spotlight: Nyna Goldberg Excels by Establishing Meaningful Relationships

Have you met Executive Recruiter Nyna Goldberg, one of CyberCoders' Rockstar Recruiters?

Nyna relocated from the East Coast where she began her staffing career in SoCal. She worked as an onsite Staffing Specialist/Recruiter at a major telecommunications company where she placed thousands of employees who to this day, call to thank her, as many experienced their first job after college.

Nyna has had great success placing candidates in technology, engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and medical arenas.

Tell us about an exciting job match you made recently?

I placed a Project Manager in the construction arena recently who knew he was a perfect match to the clients’ requirements, however he needed to take their mandatory personality test which few have passed over time. This candidate had a positive attitude, moved forward with the test and after a couple days, I was excited to hear my client say, “he passed, let’s get him started immediately.”

What drives you to go above and beyond?

What drives me is assisting those in need of employment at all levels of experience with all types of personal situations. I offer evening and weekend assistance enabling candidates who are passively seeking a new opportunity, however unable to have a conversation during their work week.

What do you think separates CyberCoders from the average recruiting firm?

I have experience working at other staffing companies however, after interviewing at CyberCoders, I knew the company was something special and I wanted to join the team. I was offered the position at my interview and became the thirteenth employee hired at CyberCoders over twelve years ago.

I have been fortunate to work alongside outstanding colleagues who take pride in their work. A special shout out to Matt Miller who was our ‘one man technology team’ for many years and has built a tremendous technical department filled with dedicated employees offering technology that can’t be beat!

Our office environment is upbeat and friendly with more coffee and treats that anyone can image!

What is your favorite part about being a recruiter?

I truly enjoy establishing relationships built on trust with both candidates and clientele. I feel if you spend a few minutes getting to know someone and letting them get to know you, it helps to put them at ease and offers comfort. I enjoy hearing the elation of candidates being offered their ideal opportunity and clientele thrilled to have my candidate join their organization. While there is negativity toward recruiters out there, I find if you show a more human side, you can change attitudes and can lead to repeat business from the client’s perspective and candidate referrals.

What are your favorite hobbies or activities outside of the office?

I enjoy exercising and am lucky to live by the Back Bay where its beauty amazes me, offering a number of walking and biking trials where you can see all type of animals. I love live music, so whenever able to catch a concert I’m grabbing a ticket. Sundays are fun days with football as I’m excited for the upcoming season hoping my Washington Redskins defend their division title.
