Litigation Defense Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in various litigation matters, focusing on civil litigation. This position requires strong research and writing skills, as well as the ability to manage cases effectively from inception to trial. The attorney will work collaboratively with other team members while also mentoring junior attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in civil litigation cases from initial consultation through trial.
Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents including motions and pleadings.
Manage case files, ensuring all deadlines are met and documentation is organized.
Participate in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
Attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials as required.
Develop and implement effective legal strategies tailored to each case.
Mentor junior attorneys and support staff in legal practices and case management procedures.
Collaborate with team members to enhance overall team performance and client service.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in civil litigation, including trial experience.
Strong research and writing skills with a proven track record in motion practice and discovery management.
Excellent case management and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and mentor junior lawyers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
