Manufacturing Engineer

Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency in the production of electrical motors. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing practices to optimize operations and reduce costs while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electrical motor production.
  • Design and implement manufacturing equipment and fixtures to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on production goals and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing and modeling manufacturing layouts and equipment.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance data to identify areas for improvement in cycle time and costs.
  • Support prototype development and testing for new products and designs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in electrical motor production.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations such as OSHA.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing efficiency improvement methodologies including Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
