Position Overview
The Mechanical Estimator plays a crucial role in the construction process by analyzing project requirements and estimating the costs associated with mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing. This position requires a keen understanding of contract documents and the ability to prepare competitive bids while ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze contract documents and project specifications to determine mechanical scope of work.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing.
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with project management teams to develop project budgets and schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate estimates.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contractual documents.
• Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, materials, and cost factors.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a mechanical estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing.
• Familiarity with contract documents and construction project management processes.
• Proficient in cost analysis, bid preparation, and value engineering techniques.
• Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.
