Position Overview

As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our company's boiler and HVAC system solutions to clients. You will utilize your technical expertise and sales skills to develop and maintain relationships with customers, identify their needs, and provide them with customized solutions. This role requires strong knowledge of steam theory and experience with boilers, hydronic systems, pumps, and other related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the designated territory
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients
Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to educate customers on our boiler and HVAC system solutions
Prepare and deliver proposals and quotes for customers based on their specific needs
Collaborate with our engineering team to design and customize solutions for clients
Negotiate contracts and close sales deals
Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process and post-sales
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to effectively position our products in the market

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales or as a Sales Engineer
Strong knowledge of steam theory, boilers, hydronic systems, pumps, and related equipment
Experience with controls, expansion tanks, buffer tanks, air separators, and chemical pots
Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and building relationships with customers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel frequently within the designated territory
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
