Our dynamic Insurance Disputes practice is known for delivering results in complex, high-value disputes, both domestically and internationally. We are looking to expand our team with a talented and experienced partner to lead and grow our insurance disputes practice.

The Role:
As a partner in our Insurance Disputes practice group, you will play a key role in managing and expanding our growing practice. You will be responsible for leading high-profile insurance litigation and disputes, providing strategic counsel to clients, and driving business development initiatives. You will also mentor and manage a team of skilled associates, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex insurance disputes, including coverage issues, professional indemnity, property and casualty claims, and reinsurance matters.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes.
  • Provide strategic and legal advice to clients across various sectors, including insurance companies, policyholders, and brokers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, identifying opportunities for business development and expanding the firm's presence in the insurance sector.
  • Manage and mentor junior lawyers, fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • Stay up to date with developments in insurance law and industry trends to deliver cutting-edge legal solutions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified solicitor with substantial experience in insurance disputes, ideally with a minimum of 8 years experience
  • Proven track record in handling complex, high-value insurance litigation, with experience in both contentious and advisory work.
  • Strong network within the insurance industry and a demonstrable ability to generate new business and expand client relationships.
  • Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent clients at all levels of dispute resolution.
  • A leadership mindset with the ability to manage and develop a team of lawyers.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional client service and a commitment to the firm's values of excellence, collaboration, and integrity.
