Preconstruction Manager

Position Overview
The Preconstruction Manager will lead the preconstruction phase for various construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are carefully planned and executed. This role involves collaboration with clients, architects, and subcontractors to deliver accurate estimates and facilitate effective design management while adhering to budget constraints and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preconstruction process for projects from initiation to bid submission.
Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets during the preconstruction phase.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, and equipment needed for projects.
Manage value engineering processes to optimize project costs and ensure quality standards.
Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to discuss project designs, timelines, and budgets.
Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential issues during construction.
Oversee the procurement of materials and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and ethical standards throughout the preconstruction phase.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years with HVAC experience required.
Proven experience in preconstruction management and estimating for construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, design-build processes, and integrated project delivery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in team management.
Ability to analyze complex project designs and identify potential cost-saving measures.
Experience in project management and familiarity with construction project scheduling software.
Strong ethical standards and professionalism in all interactions.
