Probate Paralegal

Position Overview
The Probate Paralegal will assist attorneys in managing probate cases and providing support throughout the legal process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of probate law and will be responsible for drafting legal documents, managing case files, and ensuring compliance with court procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft legal documents related to probate matters, including wills, trusts, and petitions.
  • Manage and organize case files to ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Assist attorneys with court filings and ensure timely submission of all legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case status and answer inquiries.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information and case details.
  • Conduct legal research as needed to support probate cases.
  • Coordinate with court personnel and other professionals involved in the probate process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably in probate law.
  • Strong knowledge of probate processes, estate planning, and related legal terminology.
  • Excellent drafting and writing skills for legal documents.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple cases under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Notary Public certification is a plus.
  • Strong client communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
