Probate Paralegal
Position Overview
The Probate Paralegal will assist attorneys in managing probate cases and providing support throughout the legal process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of probate law and will be responsible for drafting legal documents, managing case files, and ensuring compliance with court procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft legal documents related to probate matters, including wills, trusts, and petitions.
- Manage and organize case files to ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Assist attorneys with court filings and ensure timely submission of all legal documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case status and answer inquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information and case details.
- Conduct legal research as needed to support probate cases.
- Coordinate with court personnel and other professionals involved in the probate process.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
- Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably in probate law.
- Strong knowledge of probate processes, estate planning, and related legal terminology.
- Excellent drafting and writing skills for legal documents.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple cases under tight deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Notary Public certification is a plus.
- Strong client communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
