Quality Supervisor ( Food Safety/SQF/HACCP)

The Quality Supervisor, (based out of the greater Fitchburg/Oregon WI area) is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes in food manufacturing, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The role involves leading a team of quality assurance personnel, implementing quality control measures, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor the quality assurance team to ensure effective implementation of quality control processes.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures that comply with food safety standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with HACCP and GMP guidelines.
• Lead investigations of quality incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with production teams to promote a culture of quality and safety within the organization.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of quality metrics and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and support to staff on food safety and quality assurance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience as a QA Supervisor or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards, including HACCP and SQF.
• PCQI certification and Better Process Control Certificate are strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
