Sr. Backend Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems using Python.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support various applications and services.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Implement security and data protection measures in backend systems.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to our tech stack.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python.
Experience with Django and building RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript and CSS is a plus.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud.
Background in machine learning and AI is a nice to have.
Proficient in working with databases, including PostgreSQL.
Experience in the SaaS and fintech sectors is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
