Sr. Litigation Attorney (Construction Defense)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Litigation Attorney specializing in Construction Defense to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction defect litigation and will be responsible for representing clients in complex legal disputes involving construction-related issues. The position aims to provide excellent legal counsel and advocacy to our clients while ensuring effective case management and strategic litigation approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a caseload of construction defect litigation cases from inception through trial.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and develop compelling legal arguments.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trials, advocating for their interests effectively.
  • Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals to develop case strategies and prepare for litigation.
  • Stay current on changes in construction law and related regulations to provide informed legal guidance.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes in the best interest of clients.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Barred in CA
  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience
  • Construction litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Proven trial experience with a track record of successful outcomes in litigation cases.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, judges, and other legal professionals.
