Trust and Estate Paralegal

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Trust and Estate Paralegal to assist our legal team in managing trust and estate matters. The ideal candidate will provide crucial support in the preparation and filing of legal documents, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while delivering exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with the preparation and drafting of trust and estate documents including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Conduct legal research related to trust, estate, and tax law.
  • Manage probate cases from inception to completion, including filing petitions and inventories.
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and other professionals to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.
  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring all documents are current and accessible.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other documents related to estate and gift taxation.
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for attorneys in the estate planning and probate practice.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
  • 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on trust and estate law preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of trust, estate, and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
